Layups 4 Life (www.layups4life.org) is a non-profit organization that raises vital funds for cancer research and clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, located in New York City. Dan Exter, founder and cancer survivor, has made it his personal mission to give back and raise money in the hope of creating a cancer-free future.
To date, Layups 4 Life has raised over $30,000 for MSKCC. With those funds we have made contributions to leukemia, pediatric and bone marrow research departments at Sloan. One of our organization's biggest fundraising events is our annual charity 3v3 basketball tournament. This year's tournament takes place on Saturday April 29th, at Roxbury High School in Succasunna, NJ (10:30am - 5pm).
In the past 2 years, we have had 40 teams participate in our basketball tournament. It is a fun day filled with music, food, raffles, contests and of course basketball! We encourage families to come out and support their players while enjoying a fun day in the community.
It is our belief that we can make a difference in the fight against cancer "One Layup at a time."

Jersey City native Murdock found a passion and escape in Hip-Hop, Comics, and Theatre from a young age. After graduating with a degree in Theatre he made it his mission to combine his 3 passions and launched his music career with his debut album #AAAH. Murdock uses his Hip-Hop to tell stories to take the listener on a personal journey and leave a lasting effect.
#AAAH (Agoraphobic. Alcoholic. Asshole.) is a concept album partnered with live theatrical performances showcasing Murdock's battle with anxiety and depression. It is meant to create an open dialogue about mental health and help break the negative stigma against it especially in the Hip-Hop Community.
Bringing his love for theatre and music together, Murdock partnered with No Dominion Theatre Co. to put together the album release show for #AAAH. It was an evening composed of a full length live performance of the album along with local visual, musical, and performance artists showcasing their work all while raising money for the ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America). After selling out and raising hundreds of dollars for charity, Murdock is now preparing to bring his intense live sets on the road to continue spreading his message and music.
#AAAH is available now on all streaming/digital services along with physical copies for sale through Murdock's online store.
