In the summer of 2014 we quit our day jobs, bought an old VW Bus, we call Trusty Rusty, and took off on an 11,000 mile journey across North America. Aside for some freezing August nights in Montana, a few unfortunate breakdowns in the Colorado Rockies and Beaumont Texas and our parents thinking we were certifiably insane, it was the best decision of our lives. Since our return, we've played over 200 shows in our inaugural year bolstering our sound with acoustic guitars, mandolin, a stomp box, and harmonicas. We've gone from farmer's markets and corners of bars to playing major festivals like Divide Music Fest playing alongside Edward Sharpe, Blondie and Cold War Kids. With a recent endorsement from GoWesty we've become traveling ambassadors as we continue our momentum into 2016.
Wanting a modern take on the folk sound we decided to team up with New Jersey's own Josh Gannet (Redman, John Ginty, Keith Richards) to mix and produce the album. Reason in the Road is a reflection of all we have experienced discovering ourselves and the American countryside.
Our debut EP release, Reason in the Road, came out on July 29th.
